Rear Window Shattered. For NO REASON!

I'm actually going through a select service with my insurance company. It's a legit body shop. Maybe there's something they can do or work in a better rear window.

Rear Window Shattered. For NO REASON!

They already replaced the glass. To be honest the glass looks horrible. Ripples/waves in the glass. No where near "factory". Very disappointed. Setting up an appt with a body shop.

Rear Window Shattered. For NO REASON!

I get a call from my wife while at work, saying her rear window in her 05 4Runner was shattered. Upon investigation, there's no signs of forced entry. And glass both on the inside & outside of the truck. A fellow employee that works in her building stated she heard it shatter but saw no one...

Thanks! Yeah, love my S10! Anyone know if it's part #63203F or #63201G?

    Sunroof Rust

Hello everyone! Picked up a 2005 V6 for my wife, with 117k on the clock. I just noticed a severe amount of rust around the sunroof glass frame, mostly in the front from what I can tell. I apologize but don't have the truck with me to take pics but will later. I googled some issues with this...

    Low RPMs/tachometer

Hey all, Just bought my wife an 05 4Runner (6 cylinder). Question regarding the tach/rpm, it seems to run really low? For instance while driving at 40 mph the tach shows right around 1000 rpm, almost like its idling. While accelerating it barely creeps to 2000 rpm. To include, I hear a...

Clanging from underneath near the fuel tank.

It's not the heat shield, I got up under the truck and would grab the frame & pull down getting the suspension to compress. It sounds like it's coming from somewhere up in the strut area. Maybe a linkage? Would the strut be making that clanging?

Clanging from underneath near the fuel tank.

Whenever the truck bounces (either by me pushing down on the rear bumper, or while driving), I hear a clanging coming from the vicinity of the driver's side rear shock, or near the fuel tank. Can't pinpoint where though?? It's a 2003 w/113K miles, everything original except tires. The...

    03 Skid plates... HORRIBLE CLANKING

I just had my first oil change on a used (new to me) 03 4Runner (V8 w/99k miles). As i was getting close to home noticed a lot a clanking coming from underneath. Stuck my head had underneath and shook the truck and noticed the racket coming from the skid plates. I haven't jacked it up to...

    Fuel gauge gone south!!

Thanks Charlee, when we attached the trailer, there was a problem with the ground to the trailer hitch wiring. We grounded the adapter to the body of the truck. Not sure if this has something to do with it. It (the fuel gauge) worked fine after everything was attached, until we got just about...

    Fuel gauge gone south!!

Looking at that service bulletin, the #3 plate look very expensive and not easly to replace. I appreciate it! Can you elaborate a tad on the dash deal.

    Fuel gauge gone south!!

Driving back from a 4 hour trip with a 6x12 trailer i just bought, the fuel gauge while at half a tank started moving back up to FULL??!! I made it home, went to the fill up the tank, and with it full, the fuel gauge is rock bottom with the fuel light on. Now the fuel gauge is on the bottom...

    Pulling a trailer

Re: great screen name A nickname which i will never outgrow!:biggrin2: What about highway travel? I ride motocross and roadracing (motorcycle) trackdays, so at most i'll have 3-4 motorcycles in it. I can't see running 3000+rpms on the highway for an extended period of time.

    Pulling a trailer

I've got a 99 w/100k, v6, 2x4. I ride/race motorcycles and looking at buying a 6x12 enclosed trailer. Would this be to much for the 4Runner? Recommendations for highway use? Is it ok to let it drop to overdrive w/o hurting the tranny or anything else? Thanks!
