When you trade a car in you pay sales tax on the difference between your trade and the new car you're buying. Since my trade was valued more than the truck I bought, I didn't pay any sales tax. Sales tax would have been $1585.

Not nearly as much as I wanted. It was alot harder to sell than i thought it would be. Only had about 3 people interested in the 3 months I had it for sale. Had offers of 28,000 and 30,000. That's trade in value, so I would lose the $1500 tax savings if I would have sold it for that instead...

I tried to deal on a new 2012 TE before i bought my used 2012. They wouldn't budge and didn't seem to care that it was a 2012. They came 4.9% off the sticker price and wouldnt go any lower.

You have to have it connected through the USB and then open the entune app.

I went ahead and spent the extra bucks on the hitch safe. Natey, you would only be able to use this if you didn't have a smart key.

FYI. Master Lock also makes something similar and it is significantly cheaper. $21 on amazon right now.

I've got a 2012 shoreline blue TE being delivered tomorrow. I was wondering if i could go to home depot and get a a key made that doesn't have the huge plastic piece on the end that will just unlock the doors. Thanks!
