New springs / shocks: at what mileage???

It depends on your budget and your attitude to squeaks, knocks and so on. In case of Toyota, you could spend some extra and forget about suspension for roughly another 5 years. I've changed my x-reas on 95k... hmmm... I don't know why. There were no problems except rusted boots of rear shocks...

    On-Board-Air Setup. Quick check?

Got it. It think it's ok unless compressor has any restrictions for continuous working. Though, they tend to overheat when working continuously.

    On-Board-Air Setup. Quick check?

I mean different locations of switch and something to inflate. You will need to run between these two locations. I have ordinary compressor that I connect to battery. Length of connecting wires is not enough to get compressor near wheel to inflate (e.g. rear right). So I have to run between...

    On-Board-Air Setup. Quick check?

It would be very annoying to move between switch and pressure gauge. I'd rather think about some automation (this implies tank and auto-pressurizing it) or locating switch somewhere near gauge. I've got ordinary compressor with switch on it's case and I say that it's freaking inconvenient.

    Servicable Fuel Filter?

There are serviceable fuel filters having installed under hood on fj and prado for arabic market. It is not very hard to do such installation but i'd rather prefer to cut out excessive metal from oem hole. Therefore it would be enough to lift rear seat for filter servicing

    Servicable Fuel Filter?

Of course, it has. You will find it in fuel tank. Tank should be dismantled to replace filter.

    My 05 just hit 253K!

Very optimistic trend. I faced seized front calipers (twice),blown headgasket, bushing changing on my 135k 2004 4runner. Still have to change some bushings. So I'm not so fortunate :ohwell:

You did own calculation based on gas pump meter. Am I right? It is just a matter of preference to belive in car meter or gas pump meter as every meter device has meter error. I think every gas pump owner or manager rounds off meter error to get additional earnings

2004 4.0L Post Engine Rebuild rough idle

Hi, please update status of problem. I feel rough idle on warming and already warmed engine (1200-1300 and 550 (under load) revs respectively). As well as you i met HG failure and replaced HG at 120k miles. At the same time i cleaned throttle body. PCV were changed about 1.5-2 years ago...

    HG failure prevention on 1gr-fe

Hi all I have already changed HG after failure near 6 cylinder. I would like not to do it anymore. It seems the reason is inefficient cooling due to construction. What do you think about following methods 1. Additional transmission radiator 2. Additional fans to radiator or double electric fans...

    2004 Limited Edition 4Runner 4X4 - Head Gasket

Rebuilding of my engine is over. I replaced HGs and all parts included to gasket kit. Unfortunately i had to replace timing chain cover (large piece of aluminium) because of deformated oil pump body. As my mechanic said the reason of deformated pump body was overheating. But no overheating occured.
