It's the easiest mod you can do, should take 5 mins or less, definitely improves throttle response, and I've noticed better gas mileage as well combined with my k&n drop-in
I want to do a satoshi grille and the 06 looks like it would be the easiest (less cutting, bo do, etc) but I have an 03 so I just wanna make sure that if I get a new hood and grille it will all bolt on perfectly

You did own calculation based on gas pump meter. Am I right?
It is just a matter of preference to belive in car meter or gas pump meter as every meter device has meter error.
I think every gas pump owner or manager rounds off meter error to get additional earnings

I'm sure there is pump error... Plus odometer error. There are ways to check/mitigate those errors.
For one, multiple pumps are used. This would help average out pump error over multiple fill ups.
Regarding the odometer, you can test your odo over multiple mile markers vs readings.
Bottom line I think pencil/paper apps are much more accurate than the onboard computer.
Just picked up our white '07 4R SR5 this week. I've wanted one of these puppies for so long. It's a perfect truck. And after seeing all the mods on here I didn't waste any time. I've had some PlastiDip laying around the garage for awhile.
I started with the door handles - easy thanks to the threads on removing the rear door handles!
Then ordered a Limited grill in Natural White for the Satoshi mod. Also upgrading the stock stereo to a nice touchscreen Pioneer with all the bells & whistles.
Next I Plastidip'd the rear hatch handle - there's just a little too much chrome on these SR5's for my taste. I wanted the T emblem to stand out though so a little Exacto and toothpick action and it looks amazing.
Next I'll be Plastidip'ing the wheels when I have time, replacing the blower motor, as well as getting it back to the dealer to change the cloth seats out for leather.

Not sure if I am the first...
So I just joined the forum, because I think I might have a weekend mod that I haven't seen anyone else do (I went through all 28 pages).
I am so sick of having and seeing roof racks/baskets sitting so high up, not to mention the wind noise. So I took off the back plastic snap on decorative piece, slid the cross bars out, put the basket underneath the cross bars, slid them back in, snapped the plastic back on, and strapped the basket to the cross bars. Easy enough, and it made all the difference. Let me know what you think.

I think a fairing would eliminate some of the wind noise.

I would like to know who makes those step bars as well. Those look a lot better than the factory running boards.

better milage
So I posted in here before that before my HCF mod I was running around at 17.3 -17.6 ave mpg and since I did the mod I have gotten better milage. I never calculated it other than seeing it on my display. so here's a shot after driving home from work about 20 miles.

Thanks! I took the factory running boards off almost immediately after buying my 4runner, but any time a girl gets in -especially when wearing a skirt- they have a hard time; even though it isn't that big at all.
So I finally found these; they are Predator brand and came off of a 2012 4Runner. I bought them off of craigslist, and had the guy measure the distance between the mounting holes, and they were the exact same spacing as the ones off of my stock running boards, and the screws were the same thread size. It took all of 15 minutes to scrape the mud off the bottom to find the holes and mount them.
N-fab makes one that looks about the same; if you find some, just measure the distance of the mounting holes. This one fit just like it was made for the 4th gen, but it is 'only' for the 5th gen trail edition-or something like that.

Haven't seen or been able to find a mod to allow the fog lights to be on without having the regular lights on. any suggestions are appreciated. in fact it be nice to be able to disable all the lights, brake lights too.:hunter:
