front and rear lift options for 85.

Yup, this rig is definitely gonna get beat on, that's why I am so concerned about the amount of flex I can get out of her. I looked into Allpro and Alcan and since the company I work for works with Alcan from time to time I will be contacting them to see what we can work out. I appreciate the...

front and rear lift options for 85.

So at the moment I am running 35's worn down to about 33" but will be running 35's in the end. I already have high steer done so that's not a problem and want to replace all the hangers and mounts in the process. I just wanted to see what other spring options are available outside of T.G and...

front and rear lift options for 85.

I am not really set on 4-5" of lift, I just want to make sure I clear my fenders. I am going to trim an inch of the front fender and 2 1/2" of the back as well so from with what you guy's are saying I should be alright with about 3" than. As for Trailgear, I have ordered from them in the past...

front and rear lift options for 85.

I am looking to change the lift my truck had when I bought it for something with much more flex and about 4-5" of lift. At the moment my truck sits on about 3" of add a leaf lift with an inch of body lift. Stance isn't bad but flex is lacking to say the least. I am running worn down 35"...

    Motor swap done!!!

SV Dude, would love to get out on the trails soon but unfortunately I am in the process of getting ready for a move into our new home at the moment. We close on the 10th and move on the 14th so I don't think I'll be available to wheel till sometime in late July. Plus I still need to install my...

    Motor swap done!!!

Almost $1800 with shipping which in my opinion isn't that bad for a performance build. I like your motor as well, would be curious to see what you can delete as far as vacuum and egr are concerned. Since we both are here in Colorado maybe we could get together for a trail run and a beer sometime.

    Motor swap done!!!

For th e most part pretty good. When I first put the order in the dude didn't send me a confirmation email or any shipping details. After the weekaand a half he said it would take to ship to me it hadn't showed up so I called back with some concern and got the owner on. He answered my questions...

    Motor swap done!!!

Just finished the swap and final tuning last night. Runs perfect, oil pressure is spot on and no cooling issues after a 30 mile drive today in 85° heat today. A crap ton of hours, blood, sweat and toil went into her but nothing worthwhile is easily gained or ever truly done. Spec's: Raptor...

    THOR_runner Build

I have that same gray wire but dont believe it's actually a wire. I believe it's the cable that pops the gas door.

Raptor engines, anyone have any experience with them??

I have seen 22re performance, real nice but more than I want to spend. I am probably gonna go with the Raptor motor unless I hear something really bad about them. The ides of having a warranty like that makes me feel better. I definitely agree that LCE is over priced and have seen some scary...

Raptor engines, anyone have any experience with them??

My engine has developed some piston slap, still runs strong and isn't overheating but who knows for how long. So with that being said I have chose to buy a rebuilt engine instead of doing it myself so I have a warranty and save on time. After doing some research my options are narrowed down to...

    IFS Rock crawling

Way to go at the Rubicon with IFS, a few people I know with FJ's here in Colorado have done it also. As for what I have done, 3.5" lift, full Manafree skids, onboard air compressor, AFE Intake and high tuck exhaust, 33" Mud Grapplers on KMC whells, and a few other minor things. I only broke crap...

    Apples to Oranges, or comparable?

Go with both!!! In all seriousness I know that's not the direction you are planning on going but that would solve your problems. I bought an FJ new in 08 and I love it, plenty of comfort, decent space, nice ride, and everything works!!! Out of the box they are very capable but with a bit of $$$...

    IFS Rock crawling

IFS is the worst!!! don't bother. Just kidding, lol. I have a moderately modified FJ that I have done some very hard trails in and it has kept up with or pulled out many a solid axle rig. Recently I bought a solid axle first gen due to the trails my crew likes to run becoming more than my FJ...

    V6 rear seats

Basically high density particle board similar to ply wood but much easier to work with, route, sand, shape, so on.
