Just as everything was going well, one of the bolts broke off in the block while torquing to 66 inch pounds. All the other bolts torqued down fine. Torque spec so light, no idea, maybe the bolt was twisted and compromised already. I have no idea how to get it out, or if missing just that one is...

I have never heard an engine go from normal to heavy knock within seconds like this one did! I pulled the stick and didnt see anything sparkly at all. The oil looks clear as day, its almost hard to see it on the dipstick. I know that noise means I should pull the engine but... if it is rod...

So on my other project I just put fresh 6 quarts of full synthetic 5w30 and started her up. This truck has been sitting since 2018. I revved it lightly a couple times at operating temp and got a horrible knock. I already feel like I'm going to have to pull the engine but opinions are welcome...
