    Scratches on leather seats

A week ago I noticed a long (but not deep at all) scratch on my drivers seat. Would Meguiar's take care of that or is there something else I can do to get rid of the scratch? I once heard very fine sandpaper might work (or that might just be in my head). Any info would be much appreciated!

Leather Conditioning - Hooray for Meguiar's

This morning I checked the forum for tips on cleaning and conditioning leather seats. I'd always had fabric interiors and I didn't have a clue as to how to go about this task. Among the suggested brands I found in the forum (Zymol, Lexol, Meguiar's), I was only able to locate the Meguiar's...

    It's number crunch'n time....

I disagree. When my wife and I made our decision, we felt that the V8 offered a much smoother, quiet, and powerful ride. The difference in gas mileage seemed negligible. Think about it...if you can afford a 4Runner, you can afford the gas. It's not like you're looking at a 10 mpg difference...

    Speed sensitive radio?

Is this feature accessible on the '05's with the JBL system? I haven't found it yet.

How do you rmove driver's footrest in 4th gen?

As much as I like the footrest, I wish it was a clutch instead. I wouldn't mind a 5 or 6 speed 4Runner.

    DIY? or Serviced?

I go to the dealer for everything. If you keep all the paperwork and have any problems as a result of anything THEY did, you're covered under your warranty. If I screwed up (more likely scenario), I'm S.O.L.

    FJ Cruiser Concept

I hated the photos at the top, but going down towards the bottom, the pictures of the production models actually don't look too bad, especially in more realistic colors and materials. Unfortunately, as long as this thing only has two doors, I'll have to stick with 4Runners until the kids my...

Just finished installing the OBX pedals....

I did the exact same thing. I tried the screwdriver idea, but I got soap all over it, so it was useless. My fingers are still killing me, but the pedals look great!

    OBX Racing Pedals..HINT!

I did something very similar. Instead of squaring out the corners, I cut grooves in them so they'd be easier to get around the corners of the metal. I sure wish I'd read people's hints about heating the rubber or soaking it in hot water. Still, it's done. I think that if I hadn't grooved out...

    OE sport pedal (OBX)

It's funny how everyone is saying how they just "slip on." I used plenty of soap with a little bit of water and still struggled with them for 20 minutes. Then I cheated by cutting grooves in the corners. The feeling is just now returning to my fingers. :) You need patience to do this, but...

    JBL Head Unit Hiccup

Hey, thanks for the heads up...I'll mention it at my next oil change (where I also plan on getting sport pedals and a UT trailer hitch cap -- Hook 'em Horns!). One question...do you have a link to a website that provides a comprehensive and updated list of TSB's and recalls?

    JBL Head Unit Hiccup

I have the JBL 6 disc/10 speaker system. Last night, while I was listening to the radio, I couldn't change the volume from either the steering wheel or the actual head unit. I also couldn't make adjustments to any of the settings (ie. bass, mid, treble, fade, balance or surround). The only...

    Buying V8 vs. V6?

I drove both before my purchase. The V6 was fine, certainly not underpowered, but the v8 was a lot smoother and quieter. When I put my foot into it, I found the V6 working a lot harder to maintain the same pace as the V8. Now that I have the V8, I couldn't be happier. If you want passing or...
