Agreed, I prefer the V6. However, I'm more concerned about the cost savings I could get by going used versus new. Trying to figure out if it's worth it. What's the avg. fuel consumption of the 2004 V8? I know the 2005 is about 1-2 mpg different than its V6 counterpart.

No, those prices are the max I would offer. I'm sure their asking prices are significantly higher. The good thing is with a minimal down payment, essentially transferring the equity from my current car, I'd still be in positive equity on either of the 4-Runners. :)

Well, if I were to buy one now, I'd have to get an outstanding deal on one. One thing I've come to realize, through my previous purchases, is that dealer's will compete for business through pricing. I'd be looking to pick up a '05 SR5 4x4 V6 for about $25k.

I'm not too familiar with the price points of the Limited model, but that sounds kind of high to me, especially for a demo.

Re: V8 all the way Actually, I was looking at the resale values vs. costs of both the V8 and the V6. It actually seems that the V6 is a bit better in that regard.
