I have a 06 v8 sport i tow a 08 rockwood roo 21ss hybrid 4000 lbs +.I have to tow in 4th gear and i get 7 to 9 mpg. My roo is a tall trailer do to the slide out over the wheels.I was just curios if any one els is towing a htt with a v8 4runner and how yours tows.

Iam looking to purchase 08 jayco23ft hybrid to tow with my 4runner. Time to move up from the pop up. Anyone towing any thing like that with their 4runner. If so how does it handle it. gvwr about5000 lbs.

drivetrain noise My 06 sport v8 does'nt have the drone but i have a whine niose be tween 60 and 80 mph with slight throttle applied more throttle niose goes away no throttle no niose.

whine Fluid is fine.My 4runner only has 14 000 miles on it. The niose is most noticeable at 80 mph foot on the gas no whine as soon as i take my foot of the gas it whines back on gas no whine.I had 04 v8 sr5 that did the same thing not quite as loud.

smelly heat I took the filter out still get the smell. Turn your heat up to about 75 80 and blow it threw the dash vents does it have a funny smell to it.

Whenever i have my heat on it has a strangesmell to it specialy threw the dash vents in the center. If you turn the heat way down no smell the hotter the heat the stronger the smell.

I have an 06 sport v8. At speeds between 60 to 80 mph i get this whineing whenever i let of the gas much louder at 80. Sounds like ring and pinion. I had an 04 v8 before this that did the same thing just not as loud .Only 13.000 miles on the 06.
