I will try it. I removed the sliding windows and trim. (Unfortunately, the weatherstrip is no longer available!). I figured since I've gone that far, I would attempt to pull the sail panels, and clean up, or replace the emblem. Thanks for the link!

I mean the black trim just behind the doors. It has a "4Runner" emblem imbedded in it. The trim has to come off in order to remove the emblem.

I looked through the archives before I posted the question, and found posts referring to later model 4Runners. Mine is an '87 and the switch is different from what I saw when I searched. It's a bit more expensive as well.

Every once in a while, the headlights on my '87 blink. I think all the lights probably blink but it's so darn quick, I can't say for certain. I've owned it since it was new and the switch has never been changed. They've always come right back on, but it's unnerving. Any ideas, or is this thing...

That seemed to be the culprit. I had to replace a couple of fuel lines while I was under there, but it seems to be running better. I really won't know until I get it out on the interstate. Thank you.
