So the transmission place did me a huge favor. I went there and told them I wanted the solenoids changed and the filter changed. They agreed to do it and told me to come in Monday. I showed Monday, no parts. They asked me to come back Tuesday. I showed Tuesday, no parts. Please come back...

It works OK, but it has developed a whine in the past few weeks. I depend on that truck too much to hope, so I will be doing the filter and all three solenoids on Monday. Better safe than very sorry.

Hi guys. I have a 2001 4Runner, 2WD, SR5 with a V6. It has 200,000 miles on it. I had some idiot lights pop up, and the code says it is the shifter solenoid. Should I try to fix that, or is a tranny pretty much ready for replacement at 200K? Thanks.

Hi guys. I got a 2001 4Runner SR5 2WD last month because the price was very right. The gas tank appears to hold 18 to 19 gallons. Is there an aftermarket gas tank I can get that holds more, or is there an additional tank mod out there? Thanks.
