VSA/ Trac control/engine light on

Hi guys. I had my traction off light, VSA idiot light, and check engine light come on together today.

I immediately pulled over and checked the manual, and it said it was OK to drive, but take it to a dealer.

I went to O'Reilly's and the OBD reader only picked up a fault code related to an oxygen sensor in the catalytic converter.

The traction control motor is still its merry chattering self, and I have noticed nothing amiss, but I would like to know what this is. Any ideas?

Another thing, I have the vehicle fully loaded since I am moving, and it is carrying a lot of weight. None of the fuses appear burned. I had a monstous tail wind today for about 300 miles that drove my MPG from 16 to 22.

Maybe it's the oxygen sensor the code is relating to just burned out? :bounce:

Just went over this with another Californian emissions vehicle owner here.

First you'll need to verify the actual codes by number designation and also if you have an actual California emissions vehicle and not a Federal.

but what you are describing is pretty common on those models and is explained in the link above.

VSA/trac systems are disabled when the check engine light came on.
