Thanks for the response guys. I will definitely check the cable out. If the is gunk in the throttle body will it be obvious? This is my first time taking apart anything fuel injected. I have rebuilt carbs. Reckon im not too old to learn.

My 3.0 throttle gets stuck often in the closed position. it frees up with a little pressure but it revs a little high from being released, makes starting off kindof a pain sometimes. Any ideas on how to free it up?

Thanks for the info guys. Maybe I'll post some pictures and yall can give me some advice on what all to do to it. I'm trying to get it back to new mechanically first and then after that go with all the other stuff. I would love for it to be the last vehicle i have.

I have an 88 Runner 3.0, Does anyone have any recommendations on what kind/brand of parts to buy?? Its starting to slip and ive already replaced both cylinders so i figured i would go ahead and replace all the inside parts. Any Favorites??

coolant is good,today the idle started staying really high until i patted the accelerator. How is the idle high when the adjustment screw on the outside is not touching the throttle.(i really miss carburetors)

i have an 88 3.0 the idle when started is high and when i drive it and warm it up the idle will fluctuate from about 1200 to 2000.i can pat the accelerator and it will smooth out at 1100 or 1200.anybody help? up and down and up and down!
