Headlight Fun!

Its 88Runner, when the headlight switch is turned on,all the lights come on except the headlights, running lights, dash lights ect...
Then i switch the brights on and the headlights work. Although they look like the brights are on the blue light on the dash isn't.
From the many posts i have read the most similar problems folks are having, though not exactly the same, is the combo switch contacts. Does this sound like the answer to my light problem? Just thought i would ask before i dig into it.
Thanks to Rad and Kid for the info ive read about this in previous posts.

try this. When you turn the lights on at the stalk, force the inner piece(red arrow) towards the switch part, like this:

See if that changes or fixes the issue. If so, that's the problem. Luckily, they are still available and are super easy to replace! Just remove a bunch of stuff including steering wheel, slip the old one out, slip the new one in and reassemble. I did this about 2 years ago on mine, swapped it out in just a few minutes with a socket for the steering wheel, a philips screwdriver and a pick for popping the old wires out of the molex connector and slipping the new pins in.

Find the right part number for yours HERE , then google it or hit up ebay/amazon. Price is around $60 for a brand new one.
