    tires = 40,000

Just replaced my OEM Dunlops at 60,000. No complaints for what they were. Had great wear and pavement handling for most of their life. I keep track of my air pressure and rotate tires every other oil change. Probably could of gotten another 3 or 4 thousand on them if it was summer but winter...

I need help picking out a size and winter tire!

Winter Tire Lived in Fairbanks/North Pole for 12 years. Your snow there is a lot wetter and more icy than the interior snows. That being said I think i'd give the Bridgestone Blizzak DM-Z3 a hard look. The narrower tire debate has some merit there but the difference in tread width is only .6". I...

    20,000 mile dunflops ???

tire vibration Every time I have had a vibration in the driveline I've found enough mud stuck to the inside of a rim to throw the balance off. Sometimes even a good pressure washing won't get this stuff off without a little extra attention to the back side of the rims. Check the inside of your...

V-6 owners- How many miles have you gone without changing your spark plugs?

Stock Denso Plugs When I changed my plugs out the NGK's had eroded more than the Denso's. I put in stock Denso's back in which I got from the dealer at a good price. Some people rant on how good the NGK's are but I think the stock Denso's are better than the NGK's in the V6's.

What is so bad about the stock Dunlops?

Stock Dunnies I've got 50,000 on my stock Dunnies and can say for stockers they have been great. About the last 5000 I have noticed they are getting pretty poor in the rain and you can feel it if it's raining hard. They don't self clean at all but have held up amazingly well to field stubble...

New 4R: Wear the Dunlops Out or Trade Up to Revo's Right Away?

I'll trade to a different tire when I wear out the Dunlops. Right now I have 45,000 miles on them and they look like they are good for another 8-10 thousand. They are not a great off road tire but have been decent in the rain and the snow on the pavement. Which is were the truck is actually at...

    RAV4 Horsepower

The Rav4 v-6 is rated at 269hp/245ft. lbs. Is it using the same 3.5 litre engine as the Avalon which I think is rated at 280hp? The3.5 is just ,I think again, a destroked 4.0 litre. If thats the case I'd like to have their ecm programing and maybe their cams. Any serious Toyota gearheads out...

    Spark Plug Clarification!

NGK vs Denso Koz, I just read your post on your 3.4 V6. Quite interesting the differences and the similiarities. My plugs were also split evenly the NGK's were all on the drivers side and had noticeable erosion of the electrode in my engine. The Densos looked very good with the exception of...

    Spark Plug Clarification!

V6 repalcement plugs I had an even mix, 3 of each, of NGK and Denso plugs in my '04 V6. I changed the plugs out at 41,000 and wouldn't think twice about running the stock Denso plugs out to 45,000. The NGK plugs had opened up to a gap of .052" and the Densos were at .045" or just .001" over the...

    Replaced Spark Plugs W/ Pics!!!

Mixed Plugs Changed my plugs on my '04 V6 with 45,000 on the OEM plugs. I had an even mix of NGKs and Denso plugs, NGKs all on the drivers side. All had good color on them with one Denso showing a little blow by noticeable on the insulator. I found it interesting that the gap had eroded out to...

    Got my 4Runner V8 Dynoed today! =)

Dyno Results What I find very interesting is the very fat A/F ratio. It starts out lean and mean and then gets fat/rich. This really shows where that smell comes from when we step on it. I'm sure that a lot of that is there for anti-knock purposes when we stand on it. A retuned ECM or the...

    Flat Tire

Everyone should show their kids, wives and significant others how to change a tire on the vehicles they drive. My kids think I'm a little retentive on things like this but their friends have been amazed that they've been able to take care of flats and other car stoppers that a with a little...
