    Best brand/source for TPMS replacements?

The wife's 2005 Limited lit up the low tire warning today. All tire pressures checked good. Hooked up TechStream and have a DTC C2121 active code for (ID1 Not receiving data from transmitter). Being that the sensors are 12 years old, I plan on just going ahead and changing all five of them. What...

    maintenance light

What's strange is the light never went through the 3 second on or the 12 flash sequence, it just came on and stayed on after the alignment. The oil change is no where near due either.

    maintenance light

Took the girlfriends 2005 4Runner in today at the local dealership to have an alignment and balance & rotate done. On the way home, the maintenance light popped on and stayed on. Are the 2005 4.7 engine a non interference engine? In other words, if the timing belt breaks, will the valve damage occur?

Space on the top of my shock

Space on the top of my shock

It ended up ruining the underside of the mount. Ended up replacing it a Monroe Quick Strut. You do not have to use a spring compressor to...

Can anyone confirm lower bolt torque?

Hmmm... A 48 ft lb difference between two service manuals. That's quite a difference when it comes to a front end part.

    LF Wheel stuck.

Use a short piece of 4x4 wood and the largest hammer you can swing underneath the vehicle. With the wheel in the air, take all but one of the lug nuts off..... back off the last one several turns to keep the wheel from flying off when it comes loose. Place the block of wood on the inside of the...

Can anyone confirm lower bolt torque?

2005 4Runner Limited. Installing new strut assembly and need the torque value of the two bolts that bolt together the lower control arm to the lower ball joint. Is 116 foot pounds correct? They did take a 1/2 inch ratchet and a short cheater pipe to get them loose!
