That is true. I replaced both of them at the same time, but is it weird that the high beams still work? Would I be better off replacing the switch instead of trying to clean it? (if that is what's needed)

where would that switch be located?

Aren't the high beams and headlights just one bulb? Kind of weird that both bulbs stopped at the exact same time...

I noticed last night that both headlights stopped working. When I turn on high beams they work, but no headlights. Suggestions? 2001 4Runner

So I bought new bulbs, but how do I get the old ones out? I can pull the adapter off, but the bulb itself won't come out. Do I just have to pull harder? I don't want to break anything...

I have the original carpet mats in there, with the rubber on top. We don't have a garage so they get pretty nasty from rain/snow/etc...

Thanks. I don't think I'll have my 4Runner for more than another year or so, so I didn't want to spend too much, but the ones I have now must be replaced. I'm thinking either just replace the front ones with Husky ($86), or get another set of "universal" mats for cheaper. How would black ones...
