Ricochet off-road makes a nice 4th Gen skid. It fit up like factory, every detail was spot on. Only downside is you can't run a Diff drop.

Just in case anyone is in need of replacing theirs.... I did the Rock Auto one for $150. It works great, 4wd Hi/Lo smooth as silk.

Not replacing them, just gotta get em outta the front diff so I can remove it. I stated in another post that I hoped to do a write up on regearing the front, not gonna happen. Found a guy that knows them well, drop the diff, gears, and install kit off to him - $250

That's my plan tomorrow, took a couple day off. It is HOT here in Bama

Pry bar for 30 minutes and rotated to different spots but No luck getting them out of my front diff. I have it disconnected at the the wheel assy and it's swung out of the way. Is there a trick to this that I'm missing? I'm probably guessing the problem stems from them being aftermarket CV...

Initial install Addicted Offroad tube bumper Fit and finish is def up to par. I had to break out the grinder on just a few small places, not biggie. I have to tear back down for paint but this is it in the raw. It was worth the wait I think!

That's what I was thinking. I appreciate it man! Yeah I don't think I'll have trouble removing the front diff, just setting up the pinion and ring is a little different than the rear. I have scoured the interwebs and found some decent info. Hopefully I can do a play by play w pics.

Hey guy's, In a few days I'm removing my third member to do a regear and wheel bearing install. I've read conflicting reports that you have to disconnect the brake lines? I'm not really sure why you would have to do this? I'm not really looking forward to doing the front but I'll be forced to...

I hear ya man. I do have aftermarket UCA's along with toytech springs on my 5100's. I also have the 1" Diff drop kit installed as well. I know you can't run the normal 2" spacers on them, I'm talking .375" or .312" thick spacers. I may draw some up for users here to cut their own. Stay...
