Well, I pulled the 60 amp fuse and it completely cut power to the rest of the vehicle. I put it back it and pulled the 40 amp fuse and my power brakes seemed to be gone - no hydraulic pump noise and pedal was super stiff. How else can I temporarily disable abs so I can drive with normal brakes...

Just replaced calipers on my 2001. Can I bleed only the fronts, or do I have to do all four? I've seen some mention that front and back are separated somehow, but can't find confirmation of this. I lost minimal brake fluid in the caliper swap. Thanks!

I replaced the alternator and the issue is gone. The pulley felt rough compared to the new one, so I'm fairly certain that was the issue. Thanks for the advice!

I ordered a reman'd alternator from McGeorge Toyota. I mostly trust Denso but I know not all Denso are created equally, so that scared me into spending the extra 50 or 60 bucks to get one from Toyota. The original lasted over 20 years and 245k miles. Am I correct in assuming the possibility...

Interesting - I've never heard of this. last night I went and checked any wires coming from the alternator - you have the one on the side and the wiring harness in the back, but they both seem to feed into a plastic conduit that heads...elsewhere. Do you happen to know where this ground meets...
