2005 T4R 4.7l V8. Installed DT headers/MF cats/CB exhaust and Hewitt Tech AIP bypass kit. Getting a CEL and P0307 misfire code. Changed out coils, spark plugs...no change. Truck runs great. The shop that did the install told me that noise I hear on hard acceleration, which I thought was...
Here is what I learned from the DT Header install on my 2005 4runner V8. I did not do this myself, but will tell you what the shop told me about the installation. First off, purchased the DT headers, Stage 8 bolt kit, since I was paying for labor I was not going to have them weld cats on that...

Shop is having difficulty getting to hole 3 and 4 (on top behind AIP rail) on DT headers. Hole 4 would be the back hole and 3 would be next one forward. The passenger side is done. Any suggestions short of cutting of the air injection rail. Is there a shop that you used that I could call...
Overland...many thanks for the info. Could you tell me what the product number is on the Magnaflow Cats? There seems to be two recommended on Magnaflow website....#51205 and #99205HM which is just a couple bucks more.
How old were your stock cats (miles)? I have 175,000 miles and it seems foolish to not change them at the same time as installing the DT headers. Was thinking of using Magnaflow high flow cats. Did you use an O2 simulator or spacer. I was told by DT/Mike Johnson if using stock cats no...
2005 Toyota 4runner Sport 4.7l V8. Just got my DT headers. Want to hear successful install stories and what you used. Question 1...did you change out the cats? If so what did you use? Question 2...did you use an O2 simulator or spacer. Want to avoid CEL . Question 3...did you put a cat...
Solved the rotational clicking problem, that went away when brakes were applied. Got new anti rattle clips from NAPA and put two on caliper instead of one. The rotor was grabbing the inside pad on every rotation. The pad would ride up and hit the upper caliper pin (CLICK) drop down and then...
The first time this noise occurred they checked the bearing. which had been replaced earlier, and it was not the bearing. So they just tightened everything up. It's not making any of the growling, grinding noise that I thought bearings made. Why if it's a bearing does it go away with braking?
2004 4runner, noise coming from the right front wheel. It is a rotational click, click, click that goes away when the brakes are applied. I had the same problem a year ago (same wheel). The shop checked everything over. What they told me is they simply tighten everything up, i.e......axle...
