Hi, someone recently told me that all of the 6 cylinder 3rd Gen 4runners (1996 - 2002) have the 3.4L Engine. And all the 6 cylinder2nd Gen's (1990 - 1995) have the 3.0L. Is this true? (including occasional exceptions and swaps, of course) Thanks, -Caleb :cool:

I am looking at buying a 4runner, and the one I am looking at is a 1995 Automatic 3.0L EFI 4runner with a 4" SuperLift. I am wondering how a lift of this size will effect: -Gas Mileage -Overall Power -Acceleration -Engine Life Thanks, -Caleb

In terms of Power, and also Gas Mileage, how does the 2.7L 4 Cylinder compare to the 3.4L 6 Cylinder? Does it?

Hi I am looking to buy a 4runner and I've been noticing it is AMAZINGLY hard to find a Manual 3.4L 4Runner on any of the major used car websites and even craigslist. Why is this? Are they really that rare? Also, how much of a difference does the 3.4L make over a 3.0L ? Thanks, -RuSty420
