Not sure how much longer I'll drive it but the 4Runner has been great (just wanting something newer)! Just passed 275K this past week - still drives great and uses no oil! '04 Sport, 4WD, V6

I have 262k on an '04 V6 4WD - mostly highway miles. No engine or tranny work (knocking on wood)

I have an 04 4Runner with a bunch of miles (over 250k) so my drivers side, leather seat is looking pretty bad. I've seen some OEM leather seat covers on ebay and I'm thinking of buying them. Anyone replaced their front, leather seat covers with new ones? I'm guessing this is a pain? Please...

I had this exact problem and finally found the solution which was cheap:)! Someone installed a remote start and disconnected the temperature sensor which is to the right of the steering wheel and lift of the AC controls (down low) - you will notice you have a few vented holes in the plastic...

Aquabear - yes this would happen when I was NOT breaking, just driving down the highway...

Funny - I think I heard that noise today and was trying to figure out what it was. If the radio is not on, it will drive you nuts!

The Fix: It was the break caliper locking up - glad that was it:)

**UPDATE** My mechanic called and said the driver side brake caliper is sticking and this should be the issue and also explains why it pulls to the left when the shaking starts. I'll know for sure in a couple hours and will update! Thanks.
