OEM brake parts supply chain issues?

As best I can tell it's BS. I went to another Toyota dealer in the area and they said they could have the OEM parts in a few days. Needless to say I'll never go back to that dealership. Lesson learned. I guess it's part of getting to know who is reputable and who isn't in a new location.

OEM brake parts supply chain issues?

I recently moved temporarily to a condo and don't have a garage. Both my 3rd gen and 5th gen needed front brakes. I normally do it myself with all OEM parts. Reluctantly, I took both to the local dealer. 3rd Gen: Told they don't have OEM pads or rotors and can't get them. Offered me Akibono...

    4Runner - Tundra Interchangeability Questions

I recently rolled my 2002 4X4 4runner.:cry2: 4Runner saved my a$$. No injuries, which is some sort of miracle. Amazingly, 4Runner is still mechanically fine (even the dangling power mirrors I broke off still work). Unfortunately, there's a lot of glass that can't be replaced due to bends in...

Best Shock / Spring combo for washboard roads. Not looking to lift

Hi guys - So much information out there but I could not find a clear position on my situation. I have a 2000 Ltd 4X4 bone stock. I keep the car at a camp in the Maine Northwoods. As a result it sees a lot of dirt/gravel roads with plenty of washboard surface. I don't need any lift...

Shock and tire size advice requested from those with '99 talls

Thanks for the reply. My son's 2002 has an OME lift (no body lift) and the same Duratracs. He loves the combo. I'm 61 and occasionally it's a little tough for me to get in and out of his truck, especially when on uneven terrain. He's on his second set of Duratracs but got 60K out of the...

Shock and tire size advice requested from those with '99 talls

Thanks. I was not sure how well 4600's "fit" 99 talls. But, it sounds like you have '99 talls and 4600's on one of your 3rd gens and that combo works well.

Shock and tire size advice requested from those with '99 talls

I have a 2002 Limited 4x4 Auto with 175K. I live in the Northwoods of Maine so a good amount of time is spent on dirt roads; I'd say it's about 50/50 dirt vs paved. Weekly I drag a light trailer to the dump (2000# max, but usually a lot less). The suspension is original and pretty tired. It...

Where to find 99 tall springs...

Results? I’m thinking of doing this exact same set up for coils and shocks on my 2002 Limited. Interested and how it worked out on your truck. Any information would be helpful. I’m sure others will be interested too.

    Xenon fog light upgrade

Good point. I really only use the fogs when I'm on logging roads and don't generally can't look too far ahead because the roads twist and turn.

    Xenon fog light upgrade

I used 35W morimoto D25-5500k bulbs knowing they'd be a cooler temp. They are awesome. I'm hoping to do more than just match the color. You indicate you're running D2S projectors on your fog lights. I figure that is along the line of what I'm looking for. I assume that was pretty involved...
