That is very helpful, thank you! I just bought my 4runner a few days ago and I’m loving it. I’m going to derail my own thread here and ask what the best method of upgrading the stock head unit is.. I’m not too disappointed with how the stock JBL system sounds, but eventually I will want to...
I have a 2007 limited with the JBL synthesis sound system. I am missing one of the rear pillar speaker grilles and I’m hoping someone can help me find a part number or at least the actual name of the part so I can find a replacement online (hopefully). It’s hard to find 4runners in the junk yard...
I forgot to mention I did that. But let me get this straight, you first press on/off and then you have to either push + or - to set it? I do believe I did that but ill try it again
Hey, I've tried searching for an answer for this one but most of them are for 3rd gen or below. I just noticed that my cruise control does not work, I can't drive right now to further test it but I will be able to soon. When I hit the on/off button the dash light lights up the word cruise but...
This is what I ended up with
See the attachment for what I ended up with, went with the 12" eminators and a prefab box, it fits pretty well and I've cleaned up the wires a little since that pciture.
I see what you mean about the stock head unit but i dont see the underpowering as an issue. The setup I had before was two A/D/S SB7's which were 7.5" and they sounded great, they were rated for 150w rms but I only ran 50w rms into them each. SO i figure if i use the same high quality amp I have...
I had considered doing this but I'm not concerned with the sound quality of the stock head unit, it sounds above average than many other stock units in other cars. I will be using an old school A/D/S high fidelity system which puts out 100 watts rms per channel. The reason for the 15's is...
A baffle is the front facing board that you screw the subs into right? (sorry for my illiteracy lol)
The subwoofers I'm getting are not too heavy and power hungry at 13lbs each. I wouldnt think that is too much for 15" speakers right? So were talking 26lbs total.
The speakers are only 6.4" deep
Hey, I'm new to this forum and I own a 2007 4Runner. I'm looking to add 2 emminence 15" subwoofers without loosing as much trunk space as possible. I need to purchase a box or design one that would fit the slant of the back seats to give me the most room. I have an idea of what i want and the...
