Sold my truck (regrettably) some time ago and found this in the garage. It's a mirror glass for an outside mirror. Looking at it, it's not obvious which side it's for. It's in perfect shape. Looks like it's meant to be heated although my SR5 did not have that option.
Don't want to throw it out...

My faithful 4Runner is for sale. After 6 years of trouble-free ownership, I need to let it go in favour of a commuter car.
The skinny:
- original owner
- 146,000 kms.
- Excellent condition.
- No accidents with the exception of a minor rear-ender that resulted in a cracked rear bumper. The...
I was able to get to the seatbelt without totally removing the panel. I removed the three bolts along the upper panel and then just yanked on it from the door edge. Got the panel pulled out far enough to reach in and fix the belt. Thanks for your input.
Anyone know how to remove the left upper interior panel? That's the one that the rear seat belt runs through. I have a jammed seat belt that I need to fix. I have three 10mm bolts removed but now I'm stumped.
I can't believe the dealer wants $150 for the glass only. For that price, I can upgrade to the Muth signal mirrors. Before I do so, does anyone have or know of a good source for OEM mirror glass?
Also, I'm looking for a replacement remote fob.
Not mine. I installed mine aftermarket and I tapped into an ignition switched circuit. I thought maybe I would lose programming when the ignition was off but that is not the case.
Interesting that this thread should come back up because 2 weeks ago, I left my 4Runner unlocked overnight. When I got into the car in the morning, it had been ransacked. Nothing was missing, not even a coin or sunglasses but everything was pulled out of the storage cubbies and glovebox...
I have 68,000kms on my 4Runner and I'm amazed that I have 1/2 thickness left on my pads. That's not necessarily a good thing. Maybe the factory is using a compound that is too hard.
I know pads should be changed when they have 1/3 thickness left. What is that in millimetres? I measured and I have 6.5mm left. I'm guessing that's about half the thickness.
Also, do you guys bother machining rotors or do you just replace them?
Anyone know if it's possible to add a steeering wheel with audio controls to an SR5? I know anything's possible but is the wiring harness in the steering column? If it's a plug and play solution, I may go for it.
