Ok I know this is a topic previously discussed but everything is old Im looking to see if anyone has had this issue and found new solutions. So truck started to idle and run rough. Just like others the truck woulod smooth out after running for a while. I replaced the coil on number 3 cylinder...

so..... I took apart the rear end. it turns out that one of the axle shafts broke between the wheel bearing and the ABS toner ring. Ordered parts, next I have to get a shop to tear the shafts apart and replace bearings and seals and install a new shaft.

how do i find me gear ratio.

i tried lookingup searches for rear axle and third member not comingupi with anything.can anyone steer me in the direction of how to remove the rear axle and repair the member.can it be repaired or does the whole thing need to be replaced.

the vehicle doesnt move in 2wd. the drive shaft spins,and there si thumping in the back but therear wheels dont move. In 4wd the drive shaft acts normal,in 2wd it spins really fast but the wheels in the back are not moving. Im thinking the rear axle third member or the transfer case. IM LOST.
