Need a little help since the dealer parts were useless.
I am looking to replace the starter contacts and the plunger. Now somewhere here I read a thread with part numbers but they couldnt tell me which I needed. Here is what I have:
Plunger Magnet 28235-54380 $32.74 ( no questions here )
BUT this is where I run into problems. These are both STARTER KITS I am not sure which one I need or if I need them both.
Starter Kit 28226-54340 $9.78
Starter Kit 28226-72010 $16.91
Here is my truck: 2000 4runner SR5 3.4L Automatic 4WD. I can even provide a VIN if that helps at all.
Please help as these parts need to be ordered and the starter is failing more rapidly.
