Hi, A couple quick questions. My clock isn't keeping power when the key is off and my dome light no longer works. Is this issue related? Any suggestions on how to fix? I may have plugged in a loose connector under the steering wheel over the summer when I reconnected the power doors...

sweet - thanks for the info. For easy removal I was planning to cut the door pins and replace it with a longer similar size pin/bolt and use cotter pin to keep it in place. I wish I didn't have to cut the wires. I am surprised there isn't a connector somewhere I can pull. If cut I must -...

How do you disconnect the wiring to take the doors off? Also, is there fuse I should pull to turn of the door buzzer and dome light? I knew all this for my jeep but now I start over with my 88 4runner. Thanks. It's finally summer here in Oregon. WM

LOL - :) I measured it and feel pretty confident a 31" tire fill fit with no worries and I suspect I can get a 32" in there if I remove the hitch. Just looking for some outside feedback. 5 new tires is big chunk of change and I'd prefer to have no surprises.

Can you fit a 32" BFG /TKO under a first gen if you take out the OEM hitch or modify it?

I am planning to buy new rims and tires to run 31"s on my '88 4runner. I found some nice used rims: Mickey Thompson 10 x 10.5 with 3 5/8 off set. I don't quite fully grasp the offset vs. back spacing concept yet. I am hoping to have the tires stick out an inch or two wider than the stock...
