    Flex Plate change issue

I think because of the very small shoulder, it forces that shoulder to be in the seated position all the way ? One other thing I can't quite get about this is why not two alignment bolts, one on each side. If you look at the flexplate like a 360 degree circle, seems like you can be out on the...

    Flex Plate change issue

There is a slight shoulder on the one "alignment" bolt. Easy to miss. And to top it off, these bolts are M9 x 1.25. No one lists that size but the dealer that I could find. I painted that one bolt with white paint so it could be quickly ID next time. Why the BLACK bolt goes in flex plate/torque...

    Flex Plate change issue

1999 Limited with 3.4 and auto. Just paid a shop to change out the flex plate and now the starter is squealing when cranking over. Pulled the cover plate to take a look and notice that the bendix is touching on one side of the flex plate/ring gear. Pretty sure this is where the squealing is...

    2WD vs 4WD rear suspension

These Air Lift bags worked well for a year or two, now leak down fairly quick and using soap solution sprayed on from the air valve back to the bags themselves, I can not detect the air leak.

    2WD vs 4WD rear suspension

Is the rear suspension setup different between the 2WD and 4WD models? Reason I ask is that I am considering the Timbren TOR4R rear kit but they only have 4WD listed. I had Air Lift air bags that fit inside the coil springs but they are not working now. I want something that will keep the rear...

Hello guys, I own a 98 4runner SR5 with V6 that we bought new in 98. It now has 175,000 miles and besides routine maintenance, have only had to change a rear axle seal (for some reason twice in a year and a half) and that's it. Now my engine light came on and it codes out with the PO171 code so...
