Noise in the cab...swore I'd never do this.

Checked those ideas and found nothing out of the norm. The noise is hard to describe. The best I can come up with is the sound of a metal pin being held against a fan as the blades travel past. It only lasts for a few seconds and is not constant. I have some time off at the end of the month...

Yes I tried adjusting the blower motor speed and turning it off. There was no change.

Noise in the cab...swore I'd never do this.

I swore long ago I would never post a thread asking a question about a noise on any of my vehicles since it's always too hard to describe the sounds. I've read many threads with descriptions from "thunk" to "ping" to "whirrrrr". Please be kind with any replies as I feel stupid enough already...

    removal of OLD tint

I have used a hand held steamer and plastic razor blades in the past. It is the cleanest and odorless process I've tried. Just hold the steamer up to the tint and let it warm up. Pull one edge of the tint and slowly pull. You can use the plastic razor blade to scrape the glue while it's hot and...

Added power ports to 1992, constant power

Thanks for the props. They are fused. I ran an inline 20 amp under the dash. I'll be running a new power lead from the battery for the audio upgrades down the road.

Added power ports to 1992, constant power

The lighter outlet in my '92 only works when the key is on and I have found situations where that just doesn't cut it. I decided to add a few power ports to the ride. I installed one on the driver side lower left... And on the center console passenger side... I can use these for...

Have you changed roof rack from 2nd gen to third gen?

I have a '92 4Runner with the roof rack but it's so small. I've seen the third gen 4Runners have a longer roof rack. Has anyone changed the 2nd Gen to a 3rd Gen rack?

Picked up this 1992 with 61,000 original miles for $3900 a few weeks ago. Always garaged and never taken off road. All required maintenance done and the previous owner (original) gave me all the paperwork including the window sticker. I'm a happy camper.
