OK I'll look into those cheaper ones. If I can find a good deal on Rancho I might try those. Are they any good? My bounce didn't change much after I put the yellow Monroe shocks on. I just figured it was my coils since the shocks didn't change anything. Thank you for the advice though.

The miles on them now is probably around 20k-25k. I was low on cash when I replaced them so I went with the cheapest ones. I had the same bounce before i put the Monroes on but it seemed like it was a little better than before.

I've searched for a similar topic but really didn't have much luck. I've got a 2wd 2000 runner that I just replaced the rear coils with OEM. The shocks are the cheapest Monroe shocks you could buy (yellow). So my question is, do I need new shocks? Shocks are the only thing I can think of that...

Thanks very much for the replies but my runner is a 2wd. I guess it's not real common to have a 2wd on here.

Just normal driving on paved roads. No real change except it seems louder at slower speeds. I replaced the front struts with a complete quick strut assembly and had an alignment.

I recently had my front wheel bearings replaced to fix a roaring sound that I was hearing and feeling on my 2000 limited 2wd. Wheel bearings were replaced at the stealership and I still have the same roaring sound. Any idea of what it could be. Don't really want to go back to the stealership...

I had the same problem with my stereo but I just replaced it with a JVC head unit. Its weird, I bought my 4runner 2 years ago 2000 2wd limited auto and with 157k. Lol.

That sounds like what I'm gonna end up doing. Thanks for the replies guys. I appreciate the input. I've never replaced struts, coils, or wheel bearings so it should make for a fun week of learning.
