The third gen forum has a great extensive writeup of common issues etc, so before I start asking questions are there any threads for this on the 4th gen? I have been looking for a 3rd, but may consider a 4th. The 3rds seem to hold their value. Good when owning, but not as good when buying lol...

Anything particular pros about the 99 and 2000s? Just not the issues that were discussed? Im looking at a 97. Pretty clean. 161K. Engine bay is very clean. No rust. Limited edition.

Even with the 3.4 they had issues with head gaskets? I found one with 161K so that's why i was asking.

Yea...thats what im seeing in price too. Thanks for the feedback. I missed a 96 with 120K this wknd. This guy told me someone was bringing him money in three days but wouldn't sell it to me for the same price so I walked.
