Just got my third 4runner - 2017 TRD Off Road Premium. I had a 2012 SR5 that wasnt 4x4 and I am assuming this part is related to the 4wd system? One on each side of the engine above the middle coil/plug. Both have tubes that lead to the part in the 2nd pic. Thanks!

Just picked up a 2012 4runner on Wednesday night and just noticed this today. Front side of the engine - below valve cover ...think its called the cylinder head? anyway, both sides of the engine, just on the front, have all these surface cracks. i am a littler concerned...

For those interested in current market for these runners, I ended up getting $21,500 for the vehicle.

i think the leather was installed predealer at gulf states toyota. not afraid to drive the 4runner...its great...but whenever i buy a new car, I hate adding miles to it. i know, its stupid. i buy a used car(like the commuter) and i really dont care about miles.
