Out of curiosity, how solid is it, in an up and down kind of way?? i guess what im asking is if it moves at all on jarring bumps or anything like that.
my first truck was a blazer with the spare on the back and I hated the shat out of that thing, it rattled so bad.....
Im sure these are MUCH more solid, but id like to know from someone with exp.

Rock solid - It is seriously stout, perhaps even a bit overbuilt. The hinge is reinforced by a top and bottom plate, and is bolted to the bumper with 5 huge hex bolts. The latch is actually a screw-in design.
I just got back from 6000 mile trip out West with a lot of offroading (Sedona, Sunset Crater, Canyon De Chelle, Moab, White Rim). The bumper didn't move or squeak once.

You can specify how you want CBI tire carrier. Just call them and they'll do it exactly how you want. I may actually change mine a bit.
Here's another CBI.
Crozhawk's is his homemade design. He took the ARB FJ center, cut off the wings, installed a tire carrier and fabbed up his own creation. For the foreseeable future, he won't be making any more. PM him to check on that.
