SNOW (in the south)

Here is what we got in Columbia, SC.

I love the South, you would think we are snowed in for the long haul. Everyone ransacked the Grocery Stores etc...

We got 10", I am essential personnel today and my 4R was unstoppable. Everybody else in my duty section got stuck somewhere along the way. T/C never even beeped.

There's people still trying to get home since yesterday. Kids still shacked up in schools. Maybe some buses still on the road (not sure if this is still true). Had I sat at my desk another 30 minutes, I'd have been stuck in that mess.
 
Traffic was terrible here in Southeast Tennessee too. There are still cars abandoned all over the city stuck in ditches. I'm glad the wife and I were off work yesterday during the day when it was so bad. The snow and conditions weren't too bad. It was the people out driving who had no idea how to handle a vehicle in those conditions that made it so bad.

Update to my previous post..
I ended up with 4 1/2 inches at my house!
I still have patches of snow on my hill today that is packed down, somewhat icy, and slick. My lovely 4Runner went up it (in 4WD, I didn't try 2WD) like it was dry pavement! :rockon:

I feel like I should include a side note that a few years back a guy got a snow mobile stuck at the bottom of my hill.. TWICE!

Just gotta love our 4Runners - no matter what Gen they are!

Roads are still covered in ice here in Jacksonville, NC.

I mean ICE. It's like a ****ing ice skating rink out there.

Riley did awesome. Had to pull out a Heep that thought he could keep up with me. Lol.
