Since our President won't do it by lowering the Flag to half staff, I thought I'd start a thread for our military members to show our support and appreciation for the sacrifices they make for our freedoms. If your in the military post up pics of your rigs and any pics of where you served.
and this is why that f'er has to go...if it was any other group he be shedding tears and blithering all over TV....but he hates disciplined, focused, determined, heroic people...he f'in loathes them...because they represent and remind him of everything HE IS NOT, NOR NEVER WILL BE.
My daughter, her husband, and many, many others like them, serve whats left of this great nation with pride, and humility. I thank God everyday for the sacrifices that they, and their families have to endure with this coward in the Oval Office. He'll go out of his way to honor a thug, or a drug dealer, but F the US Military? I would've never dreamed I would see this country sink to the depths it has, that you wouldn't let her own military defend themselves on US soil
They need to give him the same treatment the NYPD did to that fool mayor of NYC....just turn your back on the coward.

WTF? I know governors of VA, NC, Mass and Tenn all ordered flags at half mast. Mr. O ordered flags at half mast after the Ft. Hood massacre. He's a lame duck and just doesn't care anymore.
Speaking of no respect for the military, how about what Donald Trump said about Senator McCain, a member of his own party:
..."Mr.Trump upended a Republican presidential forum here, and the race more broadly, by saying of the Arizona senator and former prisoner of war: “He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.”
What a nasty human. He must be nuts. McCain spent 5.5 years as a prisoner of war. He still can't raise his arms above his head due to the healed fractures from beatings.
I don't think a thread about the fallen sailors and marines should be about Obama. Why don't you point your rage somewhere else besides the President.

You come across very ignorant of the history and also a bit full of rage. Obama didn't create the executive order stating recruiters shouldn't wear guns. Clinton did and Bush kept it in place as well.
I spent 2 weeks as a recruiter for the special home leave program in 2002 and again in 2004.
I get that you have family in the service but that doesn't make you more of a patriot than Obama or anyone else. Also, I draw a stern line between dependents and those who've served.
If anything as a parent I would think you'd appreciate the moderate stance the President has taken by choosing to not invade Syria and ISIS controlled Iraq.
Other politicians would have sent your children off to war already. There are so many bloodthirsty politicians, many of whom are Republicans, but it is the military not politicians who are put in danger and it is the families who bury the dead.

Barry lowered the flags to half mast for Whitney Houston.
I see your comment and go WTF, is that true?
In my heart I would say yes they should lower the flag to half mast for the fallen.
Still, this act of hatred has nothing to do with the President.

No he did not, that was Chris Christie.
I agree that they should be lowered, but if you read the snopes article on it, you'll see why they have not been lowered nationally. To do this for these 5 active military would raise the question of why not all active military when they are KIA...they would never be up. I don't agree with it, but it's the rules that have been set in place.

I know what my heart fells but my brain just can't wrap its thoughts around how the rest of American can let this happen. I feel that its ignorance is going to be the fall of this great nation because of all the political correctness in everything. War is an ugly thing and I can attest to that. I have walked through the valley of death. Mark my works, we are not so different that the people trying to just live in the streets of far off places that war is an every day parts of life.

I recently saw this comment online so I'll share it here .....

I cannot believe the idiocy of some people that still leave posts up or make remarks that Our President lowered the flags at half staff for Whitney Houston. This is a Lie. It was a Republican gov. Chris Christie who did this for state and local government offices in NJ. Even if the truth was revealed to you in comments you should correct it...don't perpetuate lies when the truth has been revealed to you by fact...

Am I the only person who thinks arming bases is a bad idea?
You mean recruiting offices?
These offices are not located on base. They are in America's malls.
The bases are properly armed.

It's not a bad idea, it's just not feasible right away.
I do agree it's not easily feasible. Another of my issues is that as much as we love our service members, some are legitimately messed up people who don't belong in the military let alone around fire arms. Have you ever stood duty on a payday weekend when 80% of the barracks is blitzed? The probability that a young kid could make an awful mistake because he has a firearm and is heavily inebriated is probably higher than an active shooter incident.
And not really last, but getting everybody qualed and trained on handguns is already not possible. Not to mention if an active shooter incident does occur, and multiple people pull out guns and rush to the rescue, it may not be easily apparent to them, or even the MPs who the shooter is and cause friendly fire deaths when adrenaline is high.
