00' SR% - what bass/treble/mid settings do you like for music?

Just got my 00' 4runner

I like the cd/tape option, I am a dinosaur with cassettes still lol!

I noticed this thing only needs bass @ 1

mid @-1

treble @ 1

for good sound

I am curious how others set their sound options?

my cd skips sometimes over bumps, does a cleaning or? help this?

when i had my stock radio i had the bass at 4, treble at 3-4, and mid at 0. I like the bass sound but now that i have an alpine headunit with subs it sounds completely diff... CDs skip bc of the disc reader (laser) in the actually stock unit. I had this problem with my stock unit also...

My stock headunit was set at the same levels but it didn't stay that way for long :bluejump: Can't stand that sound of stock stereo's anymore because all 4 of previous vehicle have had aftermarket headunits so had to be consistent and change this one not long after I bought it. Aftermarket just sounds way better!

New set up: Pioneer 710bt headunit (touch screen, ipod, nav, etc), JL 10'' W7 subwoofer powered by Alpine 650watt amp. LOVE IT!

nice dude... ya my current setup is alpine 9884 with ipod, kicker kx750.1 amp, 2 12" FI X-series subs in a ported box. This is much louder then my old 3 10" mtx subs and im happy!
