01 4Runner AC Leaking?

Today when I got home I noticed that the floor mats in the front were wet. There seems to be a liquid (water?) coming out from under the dash, near my feet, and the same on the passenger side. Any suggestions???

Hmm, sounds like the same thing that's in my grandpa's 2000 Tundra, only on the passenger side though. He just kinda lets it by. In his case it is the AC, so I would guess that's whats up with your T4R. Is it a lot of water or just a little bit ?

This morning every time I made a turn it was dripping out....
I'll have to take a closer look this weekend.....

Sounds like your heater core is leaking, not A/C. Check your coolant level.

Not sure about the T4R but in general yes, heater cores or a heater matrix is very hard to access and your whole dash must come out in order to replace it. If it was summer you might be able to bypass the core but in the winter you're going to want heat. Once your heat is gone overheating your engine is not far behind.

I think it might be the drain tube from the condenser is clogged up. I took off the glove box, but now don't know how to gain access to it....
Any help? Pictures?

Open the hood, look on the passenger side firewall near the bottom (to the left of the tranny fill tube). You should see a plastic black tube jutting out of the firewall about 3/4 of an inch. Use compressed air or weed eater line to unclog it.

Ok thanks. I found that, but didn't know if I had to get it from the inside....
I'm hoping that is the issue!!

ok, so it was the AC Drain that was clogged. Ran weed eater line into it and out poured a ton of water. Only issue is that drain tube (Which a metal "L" shape) came off when I did this. Should I shove it back into the firewall or just leave it off?
