01 to 02 electrical adapter?

Hi guys,

I posted a thread last week about how I switched a dented 02' trunk lid for a flawless 01'. Most the suggestions were changing out the harnesses. I opened up the trunk lid and it seemed pretty difficult to do, because there are wires attaching to the upper brake light, the defrosters, the license plate lights, locks, and the fluid.
The lights all plug in just fine, but there the defroster, locks, and fluid don't work all because there is one cord that won't connect. For me I don't know how easy switching all the wires, or even cutting and soldering them into the old ones would be for someone as inexperienced as me.

I really wouldn't care too much, but for some reason once the car is completely off it won't let me use electric lock.

Does anybody know of an electrical adapter that I could plug my 01 door into an 02? Or a solution that would be better served for someone as inexperienced as me?

Also I will take pictures tomorrow and maybe that will help.

You have your old harness, just do it or pay someone to do it. :whip2:

No adapters are available and to cut and solder wires would need the wiring diagram for both models and a good understanding how to read it.

I had a similar problem when I got rear ended a couple years back. I bought a used door on ebay that came out of a 98. I have a 02, when I tried to attach the door I found out that the plug was different. I just took the old harness out of the old dented door and connected the wires accordingly. It took some time, cutting and splicing but I have full function out of the door.
