Great photo. I love getting out and seeing areas that most people don't realize exist.
I spent the day with my son in the Ouachita NF. We had a great time with a couple trails that almost kicked our butts.

This is a stitched panoramic shot of the spillway. Thats a road at the bottom with the posts.
Many of the roads/trails were washed out pretty badly from the recent storms.
This was our first water block. I didn't take a pic of the second but basically it looked the same way.
We finally made it to our destination.
This is a daily commute for the lady in this 4Runner. She lives in the OuachitaNF and drives to Little Rock to work.

Looking good man, Your build is very similar to mine. You should include some pics of where u mounted the cb box and Ham radio main box. Also I would advise you raise up that ham antenna, right now your losing the ground plane affect by having the antenna below the roof.
Im still working on a place for my air pump, I put a second battery in your location. keep it up !

Thanks for the kind words. I have the ham antenna down below the roof line due to tight trails in Arkansas. If I raise it I will rip it off quickly. The CB antenna has already taken some pretty serious abuse.
Once I figure out a mount for the handset and the remote speaker on the ham I will post more pics. Work is really getting in the way of my build right now.
I was thinking of mounting my air compressor where you did but with it getting so hot I had concerns but really like that install. I had a couple minor problems with the hose getting weak at the compressor due to the heat so was a little Leary. I'm sure it will work well though.

Nice buildup. I have the twin brother of your rig, but right now it's staying closer to stock since it's the DD and I have a built FJ62 for trips and wheeling.
I have quick question about your Midland CB. I have a factory refurburbished CB same model as yours, and I've had a few issues with it when I ran it out of my old FZJ80 Land Cruiser. It seemed to get overpowered when someone close by was transmitting and everything was garbled. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why. Have you ran into any issues with yours?
Nice antenna mount by the way... I used to run a Wolcott mount, but I think I'm going to break out the plasma cutter and make one out of some angle like yours. Looks great. :bravo:

Thanks for the kind words chitown. I must admit that I haven't used the CB that much and really only have it for those small group trips where everyone has a CB instead of ham. I haven't taken the test yet so no transmit but I can already tell ham is the way to go.
The CB appears to work well but I will probably go with a different antenna soon. The last trip pulled the tunning portion out of the end of the antenna so its not doing much good at this point. Thinking of going with the 102 inch whip when on the trails.

No problem and your just down the road from me I am in Shannon Hills Area up on Emerald Mountain. If you want some help when you get your build started back this fall or want to go wheeling one day let me know. I not very experienced but hopefully helping somebody else will keep me from wanting to spend money that i don't have on my 4Runner!
Its been awhile since I have been able to post or work on the Runner. I went out earlier in the fall and drug KMAYO along with me.
After this trip I realized the front steering rack was really needing some help and had to replace the steering rack bushing. Here's a write up I did over at Central Overland forums.

I'm not able to check to see if there is a part # on the switch but will check this afternoon. A quick search on ebay found the below item and it looks identical.
Toyota Scion XB TRAC OFF Switch
This is a momentary switch that only makes contact when pressing the button, that's why I used a relay to actually disconnect the proper wire for the traction control. Also, you may be able to add back lighting but I never looked into that.
