02 tail lights on a 98 Runner

I have a 98 4runner SR5 and I was wondering if anybody tried fitting the 02 4runner Crystal Tail Lights on there 98 4runner. Is there modifications that needs to be done or is it an exact fit? Pictures would be great.

The 01-02 taillights will fit the 96-98 but will require a different wiring harness and bulb. The wiring harness should come with the tails though.

The wiring harness will come if it's OEM.

and if not, you can modify the holes to fit the existing harness, i just dont know how... i know it has been done though.

Yeah, but it's a real PITA to get to the stock harness. I just sliced the original wires and made them work w/ the new bulbs. It was much easier than having to pull all the panels apart.
