'03 4Runner with 101K ...Need Servicing Advise??

Folks,

Was a BMW fan since I was a teenager, but finally grew up to the 4Runner. My question is (Experts) I've got my 2003 4Runner and it just hit a 101K miles. I've taken care of it and serviced it regularly. I need a detailed list of what all servicing needs to be done....(Shown in a list format and reason for servicing) I searched out here on the forum and I didn't find anything. Please can someone come to my rescue before the Stealership rips me off. I'd appreciate all the help I can get. BTW, I never knew they had a site for 4Runners....

P.S. I'm in Atlanta, so its a 2WD V8 Limited w/ the timing belt.

I just copied this straight from Toyota's owners site, under maintenance schedules. Hope it helps. Sorry I can't provide any more input as I haven't even reached that kind of mileage yet on my 4runner. There are also probably some minor differences if you have a V6 or V8.

From reading a Tundra Forum, they usually replace the following:
Serpentine Belt, Timing belt, Idler Pulley, Tensioner, coolant, water pump, & spark plugs. This comes to around $ 350 $ 450 dollars depending on if you use OEM parts or not. Labor is around 5.5 hrs @ 65/hr = $ 357.50 plus tax. Throw in anything else that may need to be done as well (like diff fluid, ATF, Transfer case etc) and you are looking at prices that are between $ 800 to 1,200 smackers.

Notes: this is the 120 k miles service for the V8 since it has a timing belt, but many will do this at 100 k miles instead.

Grease, I believe you meant Timing Belt and not chain??? It was my understanding the4.0L V-6 has a timing chain and the V-8 has a timing belt. Unless I misunderstood????

I just got done having my timing belt (yes, it's on a V8) changed, and it ended up costing me $1200 for the belt, pump, seals, idlers, serpentine, coolant, etc. I've already changed the transmission fluid at 60K, along with the xfer, diff cases, so that will be good until I change the plugs, wires, etc. at 120K. I'll probably go ahead and change my brakes then as well (unless they go out any sooner), so that I can go ahead and replace the lines to SS, and replace the fluid as well to a better grade.

You are supposed to change the timing belt at 90K. The V8 is an interference engine, so if the belt goes out....FUBAR!
