'03 dash light prob

Half the light illuminating the multifunction display is out....Is it a PITA to fix??

was it the left or right side? I too have an 03, and my left side went out. I will have to replace the bulbs when I get them from Toyota. I am going to replace all 5, three for the a/c controls and two for the display. One in my a/c is out too. It is pretty easy to take out, just remove the little plastic cubby door and pull it out.

There is a bolt that must be removed before pulling it out under the display panel. It's a 10mm.

I am going to try this out too, My lights are out for a while now and the dealer told me its cost more than 500 to fix... and I decided to leave it alone.

That dealer's ripping you off - it took me 10 minutes to replace the lights in mine.

The left bulb on my display flickers every once in a while.

I did not know there was only 2 bulbs lighting it up. Good to know .

What kind of bulbs are they ? are they colored , or is it the display provide the color ?
