03 T4R front/rear brake pad changeout & now CheckEngine,VSC Trac,VSC Off alarms R on
I replaced my girl friends 2003 V8 T4Rs front and rear brake pads today with no issues. This was the first time the brake pads were ever changed out. I took the truck for a ride after and the brakes worked smooth & quite. After about 10 minutes on the road the Check Engine, VSC TRAC, & VSC OFF lights all appeared on the dashboard. After that, the truck had intermittent issues accelerating. The normal engine rpm is 1000 but it would ramp up to 3000 once and awhile (maybe do to the VSC TRAC engaging?) My question is, during the brake pad routine change out would there be any instances throughout the process that would trigger these alarms? And if so, has anyone had this problem in the past and do I need to have Toyota proprietary software reset these alarms?
