03 V6 PCV valve location

Was wondering if anyone has changed there pcv valve and where it is located.

Patience -- 17 minutes is not much time for you to expect an answer.

I have been through the manual, and can't find any reference to a PCV valve, but there are two ventilation valves. One is located on each of the valve covers. The drivers side valve is on the upper edge of the valve cover, close to the firewall. The passenger side valve is located on the upper edge of the valve cover, just behind the hump for the timing chain for the camshaft. From their description and method for testing, it looks like they perform the same function as the PCV valve.

Thanks that is odd I know it has one it is $14 from the dealer. He said it is just under the plastic cover but I did not see anything that stood out like one. When I get the part I will match it up.

Maybe the 'plastic' cover he was talking about is the big black cover that hides most of the top of the engine.

And, it is also possible that there is indeed a PCV valve, that I wasn't able to find it in the manual.

yep he said under that cover I have been under there I could not locate it. I figure if I get the part then I can match it up. I am trying to save my wife some money she will just go to the dealer which will cost allot of $$$ for a simple job.

I am curious why you feel the need to replace the PCV valve on an '03? Did the dealer say it was necessary? If so, I would think this would be a warranty item, since the PCV is part of the emisions control system. I believe that it should be covered by the 60k emissions warranty.

The car has 55K on it and should be changed every 15K under normal conditions this is not covered it is like changing your oil spark plugs, tranny fluid, ect

All fixed It was pluged solid for a whole $10 it was well worth it. Very simple it is on the drivers side screws into the intake.
