04 4runner, Rear window not working.

My rear window randomly stopped working the other day, and I was wondering what I should look for to diagnose the problem? I have the cover off already and have looked around and everything seems to be plugged in correctly. If its the motor what is the part number.

General questions vs have solve or worked with this window.

1. Do you have power to the window’s motor? If not have you located the fuse to know it is good?

2. If you have power to the back from the fuse and no power to the motor, have you checked the switch?

3. If it’s a power issue vs a bad motor, you’ll have to check the wire component to component.

4. If you can bypass the switches and get action, you’ll need to see which of the two is bad.

5. You are not the 1st to have this problem. Hopefully some solid info will come soon vs troubleshooting.

6. You will need a volt/ohmmeter to run good test.

Make sure the wiper and defroster are off.

Oops! A Haynes or Etc manual or searches might have a helpful wiring diagrams and diagnostic info.

Have you accidentally depressed the the window lock button?
The small button next to the door lock button, has a big X on it.
It locks all windows except the drivers window....
.

This happened to me one time randomly. Took it to the dealer and all they did was like unplug the negative battery or something stupid like that. I apologize I dont have the details but try to reset it before you start ripping things apart.

yeah check lock button and try holding up the driver window button for a few seconds to reset the computer
