Hi all, hope everybody is having a great Saturday. Before I describe the issue I've been dealing with for the past three days, I would like for you all to know that I am hearing impaired so obviously I am unable to exactly locate the source of the noise but I was able to hear it which was pretty annoying. I wanted to see if anyone had the same issue like mine and had a fix for it. Otherwise I'm taking the 4R to the dealership Monday to correct the issue.
For the past three days, I noticed when I was driving at a high speed or at least accelerating past 30 mph up to 80 mph and the 4R created a noise that was very concerning. At first, I thought it was because of my head unit (Pioneer) because I typically cruise around town with music playing at a decent volume whenever I'm using the 4R. However, when I first heard the noise while I was playing music, I quickly turned it off thinking it was the HU that was creating the noise. After muting music before turning it off, it was still creating noise so I assumed the source of the noise was not coming from the HU itself.
I feel like whenever I'm speeding, whether it's 30mph or 75, it creates so much noise that it is starting to become a major concern. It probably sounds like fingernails scratching the black board or someone horribly whistling with all of their might in an empty room. As of now, the only thing that is lit on the dash is the low tire pressure from the spare tire. That is about it. Has anyone come across this problem, and figured out how to fix it or at least know what is causing the noises to take place? Thanks!
My other mods will have to be put on hold until this issue is corrected. My 4R's life is far more important than mods as it is my daily driver vehicle!
