myrunner said:third seats sucks in 4runner why:
Because
1)It is useless, noone buy dwarfs can fit in
2) you lose moonroof
3) you lose cd changer
4) you lose extra speakers
5) you lose tonneau cover
6) you lose air suspension on v8 ltd
7) you lose double-decker flooring system
SUCKS, SUCKS SUCKS
Basically, all the good stuff you lose. And what do you have left - two ugly folded picnic stools banging against the walls of your trunk.
Like mswscco said, it all depends on what you're looking for. The only item on the list that I really wanted was the sunroof. But now that I have the truck, I'm not missing it as much as I thought I would. I'd take it if they had it though. So I agree too... it sucks. I'll live though.
As for the audio stuff... I was planning to replace the speakers no matter what, and then the head unit eventually. The changer thing doesn't bother me because I'd rather have a mp3 capable headunit.
Air suspension - wasn't getting the V8 anyway, so no biggy.
Double decker cargo & tonneau cover - Nice to have, but it wasn't a major selling point.
The reason I got the 3rd row was for whenever I had to haul people somewhere. It just made sense to take them in my truck, than to take two cars/trucks (especially with parking in Manhattan). It ain't pretty back there, but for small folk and kids, it's ok.
Overall, the 3rd row on the 4Runner isn't the best implemented option out there, but it still makes sense for some.
