04 4th gen with 07 or newer refresh???

Hi guys...I really have tried searching about this topic to no avail. I have a 04 Sport and I love it!!! However, I want to upgrade everything to the 06 or is it the 07 style everything....including headlights w projectors in them,bumpers
front and rear and the body cladding on the sides that looks beefier. Also the factory LED tails:artist:
I was curious??? Can this be done??? Are the clips the same?? would it just work,or would there need to be some modification to get the refreshed body work on my 04 T4R?

I'm pretty sure the newer head/tail light housings will be a direct swap over to yours. I'm not sure about the other things you listed though.

Cladding was an 0'3 deal... I'm sure you could probably find the parts in a scrapyard on a wrecked t4r but id be a PIA for undamaged pieces, Might be able to order it idk.

Actually what I mean is the newer style bumpers and moldings... Wheel arches. Etc. they are different on the 06 - newer 4th gens and they look cooler in my opinion. Thanks for feedback!!!

The taillights can be switched over without problem.

The headlights are a little different (look at the bottom of them compared to the 03-05, they can be switched over but there will be a small hold from the difference.)

Toyota changed the fenders on the 06 & newer so they would not work.

I'm not sure on the bumpers.

The "wheel arches" if im catching your drift would coinside with what model, the sport, sr5 has the rounded shape while the limited has the more square as mine, Im pretty positive that changed however with the newer models.. they all have the more rounded sport type (like you said) not 100% positive. In order to change all that, once again a big PIA lol.. I'm assuming you have the limited sytle like mine since your wanting to change? Ill go off that..

this entails literally finding all new body parts + paint etc if not same color.

You can't put a square through a circular hole, and thats the case here, the edges wont match up unless you re do all the body parts so they fit together which IMO would be a waste of $, better off just buying a newer model if so be it so you dont look like a really tacky rice burner kit car lol


You can very easily do the 0'6+ facelift and switch out your tailights for the L.E.D, there are many write ups on here with how to do it/ what to buy
with a little searching you should find it in under 1 minute

It's more than just the moldings. The actual fenders are designed differently to have the rounded arches instead of the square style on pre 06's. The bumpers might bolt on but since there made to go with rounded wheel arches they might wierd. Also, the wiring would be different because 03-05's have turn signals and DRL's in the bumper next to the fog lights where on the 06+ they have them integrated into the parking lights. You can add 06+ grille but it requires tweeking to the hood latch and possibly the bumper (theres a thread about it on here somewhere).

Im not 100% sure on the ability to switch bumpers and trim, but i can share a couple pics i have that detail the differences in the front end areas.

I see distinct differeces in the headlight lenses, the small metal piece directly underneath the lights, the grills and the hood areas near the grille.

The 06-09 models have the DRL's/turn signal combination just like the 03-05. And there is a separate bulb for the parking light. He should be able to relocate the wires from down in the bumper area and bring them up to the newer stlyle 07 headlight he is planing to install. Same dual purpose bulb, but just in a diffferent location. Headlight and tails should be easy, but can't really comment on the side moldings and bumpers since I don't know if they will fit.
