Hmm... I have an 04' so I may be biased, but I pretty much agree with the fog lights on the 03-05. Much cooler looking, also on the back of the runners the spoiler I think is nicer on the the earlier model, although I believe 05 is more functional? Also, I like the red lights on the rear bumper in the 04, and without them 07 seems empty back there. And lastly the grill on the 04 does look small, BUT I do prefer the color keyed grill, and when looking at the front pictures...the 07 looks bug-eyed....but overall the 07 grill looks tougher. As far as the sides...I don't see any differences at all...are there?

Also the body cladding is a thicker on the 2006+. There's a thread in General Discussions that went over the 2006 updates. There were no changes to the sheet metal just bumpers, lights, grille, cladding and flares.

I like the tires to be flush (or near flush) with the body when looking from behind.

I'd buy the OEM '06+ 4Runner projector headlights before I'd put those on my 4Runner!
Other people have made the swap and it looks good, but you have to buy the lower painted trim piece to make it all fit.

The Halo lights are the biggest disappontment in the aftermarket. FUGLY!
Start with an 03-05, do the rear fog light mod, add 06+ tails and headlights then you have a my-t-fine ride.
For a grill, the Jaos aura gives you the trapezoidal look like an '06+ without crossbars, but it will co$t ya!

yea, but it depends... on our 4R projectors, it is made for halogen. the way how they design the inner bowl is for halogen bulb. they are more shallow than HID projectors. that's why when you just put in HID kit onto the 06+ headlight, it is brighter than stock but you can see the beam is more focus in the center (hot spot) and also the width is limited.

projectors focus the light better, allowing for more illumination where you need it. it is a slight improvement over the large reflectors in early models.
